Dan and Cristtin's Visit

Dan and Cristtin and the kids came to visit us this March. We had a lot of fun. The big agenda item was the trip to Sea World detailed below, but otherwise, we had a good time relaxing, playing games, going out, etc.
The first week we were supposed to watch the kids as D&C went on a cruise. It was good for the kids to play and get to know one another again (although all were very sleep-deprived the first couple of days until we started separating them at night). I forgot to mention, as soon as they got here, Carter's guts exploded all over Cristtin. It was a warm welcome--98.6 degrees warm!
I dragged Dan to football on the weekend--it was fun. We also went to the Slaton's to play "guns" Dan and Ian enjoyed that. Also, we played video games; I am no good at the game we played (Command and Conquer)--Ian kicked my butt.
Dayna apparently doesn't get to play with girls much when D&C visit other family, so she had a great time with Savannah and Maya.

Maya's Dreams Came True at Sea World

Maya couldn't exactly be described as having fortitude at times. It's hard to say it, but it's a fact. So, naturally, after a few hours at Sea World in 50 degree weather she was...well...done. The last show we went to was the Shamu show, 'Believe,' and Maya was a bit whiny about how she wanted to sit up front. She DID NOT want a poncho though. So, I sat her in a strategically dry place in the Splash Zone. (You think I wanted to get wet?) Well, she kept crying and I folded, so we moved to where she could get drenched. Well, she got what she wanted as the video shows below. She regretted it, but at least Sea World delivered again on another childs dream!

Sea World with Family...in the COLD!

It was extremely cold when we went to Sea World--50's if I remember right (anything below 60 might as well be freezing to those of us living in warmer climates). It was fun. We saw the shows, rode a few rides, then after the Shamu show, the park closed early because turn-out was so poor for the day. We were ready to go then anyway.

I love this couch. Karen said it was brand new when this photo was taken. Not six months later the thing was trashed.

Maya and Maggie playing at a park.

Maggie playing Leap-Frog with the family--this was fun. She's so small that she had to climb over all of us.

Maya and Maggie in the pool--well, it's actually the sandbox, but we use it as a pool.

It took Maggie a bit to figure this one out.
