More Rodeo
Savannah and I on the swinging chair ride. This was Savannah's favorite ride. Mine too. I just told savannah to hold on tight and not slip through any holes in the seat. She listened and we both laughed the whole ride.

This was Maya's favorite ride. She loves rollercoasters.

There is a cow behind my children. This is in the actual show pavillion. Not the most exciting part of the day at all.
Want to buy a tractor? This one was huge, so I had the girls get in a picture to prove it to all the unbelievers.

This is GI Joe. He's an Army recruiter and he beat Savannah in one of those games where you play skee ball to get your car over the fastest to win a furry prize.

I am sorry it has been so long since I updated this thing. Let me explain: I was too busy. Good enough? Good.
I worked very hard this past month. I was working 10-11 hour days at work in order to finish a project at work. This project was probably too much for a rotation of only 8 months--especially since I only worked on it for 6 months because of training and vacation.
Priority number one was to finish all the projects that were piling up at home, so I never got to this blog. In fact, I am still doing a lot of projects at home. I'll post pictures of them as they are finished.
In summary, we've attended the Houston Rodeo, which included a carnival and a Sheryl Crow concert, we visited the beach during sunrise and went to Kemah, which is a mini-carnival destination on a boardwalk with rides and a bunch of restaurants, and then we went on vacation in Washington D.C. then we saw Dan & Cristtin at Fort Lee. I will also post pictures of Easter, the zoo, and Disney's Princesses on Ice, then Brazos Bend, and other cameos.

I finished my training at work last week. I graduated the New Hire Development Program and have since been "deployed" to a different group, the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Exploration Team. I am pretty excited to work there for a first deployment. I will get to see a lot of fun things and work a diverse set of prospects. As far as my last project goes, I finished up pretty well. I didn't finish the whole thing, but I don't think it was possible to finish the whole thing anyway. My presentation will be presented to our Chief Geoscientist either by myself or my manager. It is directly relevant to one of our current business needs. I am just happy to be done with that project--I'm a lot less stressed.
Karen:
Karen is now entering the tired-all-the-time stage of pregnancy. She has 2-2.5 months to go. The baby is beating her up from the inside--she's an active child--always kicking and flipping around in there. Savannah was a lot like that. I fully expect this one to start walking at 5 months. She seems to be off to a good start. Karen also got a haircut. She's cute. I'll post pictures.
Savannah:
Nanner just finished up swimming lessons. She takes after both our sides of the family becasue when she enters the water--she just sinks to the bottom. But, she is a really good swimmer and she cannot wait to go swimming this summer. Her dance recital is soon. I can't wait. If it is anything like last time I think it will be very funny. It's weird watching your own kid out there perform in things like that.
Maya:
Now Maya is Maya. I think she always will be. Before I continue anouncing such profound truthes or waxing philisophical on you all, I just got to reiterate that Maya is her own person and does her own thing. She's a hard one to write about. She's a pretty good kid, though. She, too, was in swiming lessons and she did pretty well from what I understand. Other than that, she's just doing her own thing (have I said that yet?). She is getting out of her toddler phase, though--now she's just more like a little girl.
