Halloween 2009

A chicken, mummy, and vampire, for those of you who may not have figured it out.

The gang before the cany heist began.

Cute little chicken.

Here's a good story: Steve, our neighbor across the street to the southeast, always saves bigger candy bars or boxed candy or something for the kids on our street around his house alone. The candy in the foreground of the above picture is what he gives to the rest of the neighborhood riff-raff. The picture shows where he moved to a bag in his garage, where he was getting the girls this candy. The only problem is, he did not recognize Maya and after giving Savannah and Maggie a huge box of candy, told Maya she couldn't have any--it was saved for certain kids. Maya, just getting over the swine flu and who typically has a bit more emotion in her than the average kid, ran across the street to our house crying. It took us 15 minutes to get her to go back out trick-or-treating. Poor Steve vowed he'd never save better candy again. Hopefully a year will heal the wounds of the both of them.

The loot.
